Accommodation
Centrum Savita has thirty single rooms with a shower and toilet: € 885 for 10 days, € 1.250 for 15 days. The instructors’ accommodation is included in this amount. The entire amount goes to Centrum Savita. Meals are vegetarian and prepared by Centrum Savita’s chefs.
Waiting list
When a retreat is fully booked, you can be placed on the waiting list for that date. If a place becomes available, this list will be processed in order of registration.
Cancellation policy
Up to one month before the start of the retreat, the accommodation costs paid will be refunded in full. Within one month before the start of the retreat, this is only possible if we are able to find someone from the reserve list to take your place.
Guidance
The guidance provided during this retreat by Ayya Virañani or Sayadaw U Vivekananda and Sayalay Daw Bhaddamanika, as well as by Guus Went and Jerome Stoel, is offered as a gift on their part. Generosity is an essential part of the Vipassana practice.
After the retreat, you, as a participant, may choose to make a donation (of any amount you wish) to the Mahasi Sayadaw Foundation. If there are external instructors, the donation will be passed on to them.
Because the foundation has PBO status (Public Benefit Organisation, ANBI), it is possible (under certain conditions) to deduct this donation from your taxes.
Since July 1, 2025, the Mahasi Sayadaw Foundation has been classified by the Tax and Customs Administration as subject to VAT. Donations, however, are not subject to it.
Practical information
After your registration you’ll receive a link to meditation instructions, and we will send you a questionnaire about your meditation experience, your health situation and your specific motivation for the retreat.
One month before the retreat begins, you will receive an email with practical details: what to bring, what you don’t need, arrival time, carpooling options (if available), etc.
It’s a good idea to plan your time leading up to the retreat so that you can arrive with as calm a mind as possible, and so that you can have one or two quiet days after the retreat.
Feel free to contact us at any time.
